Cosmetics with purpose, born from the study of delicate skins.

At UMOA, we believe in a different way of understanding beauty: a conscious cosmetics, where science and empathy coexist to care for the skin while generating a positive impact.

Each of our formulas, textures, and gestures are born from the study of one of the most delicate skins in the world, the skin of people with albinism, and from a simple question:

Can personal care contribute to a more empathetic and responsible society?

From that unique experience of caring for such delicate skin, our formulation philosophy arises, based on respect for the skin and its natural balance.

All our products are based on the same principle: to preserve the natural balance of the skin, reinforcing the skin barrier, calming, protecting, and strengthening our skin without disrupting its rhythm.

CARE TO CARE

At UMOA, we understand personal care not as an individual gesture, but as a form of connection and empathy.

Caring for the skin can also be a way to care for what surrounds us, when that care generates well-being beyond oneself.

This is the essence of UMOA, summarized in the motto 'Care to Care,' which means:

TO TAKE CARE OF ONESELF WHILE CARING FOR ANOTHER MORE VULNERABLE PERSON

And here is where our story intertwines with that of Beyond Suncare.

Beyond Suncare

Beyond Suncare is a non-profit organization (NGO) founded by our co-founder Mafalda Soto.

Beyond works in several African countries to improve dermatological health and social inclusion for people with albinism.

Its work, recognized by the United Nations as a 'Best Practice,' combines research, education, and the distribution of photoprotective products tailored for people with albinism.

UMOA is born directly from this work. Not as a parallel project, but as its natural continuation.

The clinical experience of Beyond Suncare inspires our formulas. And part of UMOA's profits goes back to support those health programs.

A cosmetics line that looks beyond the mirror

That cares with scientific evidence.

That respects the skin, its barrier, and its rhythm.

That connects personal well-being with collective purpose, without artifice or empty discourse.

Taking care of oneself can also change something.

That is our commitment.
